He was initially employed as a writer and on occasion as a performer. Together with Tom Davis, a friend from high school with whom he had an unofficial connection, he was awarded this role. They worked together on a variety of projects, including supporting parts in a movie.
He participated in a few additional shows and worked as an anchor on his own. He began writing screenplays for movies after performing, though the first one was challenging for him.
