He interned as a high school student for The New York Times during his senior year and also for a publication that went on to publish 71 stories before he graduated. While still a college student, he started aiding advertising columnist Stuart Elliot and authoring media and technology articles.
He spent his summer in London writing about European technology and business for the New York Times. He later returned to Cornell to finish his studies while serving as vice president of the Sigma Pi Fraternity.
