Brenden played for Bethlehem Steel FC during the 2017 campaign as an academy player. From Philadelphia Union Academy, he received his diploma.
In a road draw against the Tampa Bay Rowdies in October 2017, Aaronson made his Steel FC debut.
He played in 21 games for Steel FC, and against Atlanta United 2 he netted his first career goal.

At the age of ten, Aaronson enlisted in the Philadelphia Union and advanced to the first team. His MLS debut came on March 17, 2019, when he scored in a 1-1 draw with Atlanta United.
He made his debut for the United States on February 1, 2020, in a 1-0 victory over Costa Rica at Dignity Health Sports Park.
He and Philadelphia won the MLS Supporters’ Shield in 2020, and the midfielder was selected for the MLS Best XI.
