Chris Kattan began his career as a member of several improvisational comedy (improv) and sketch comedy troupes. He then appeared in a few small TV roles, including “No, This Is Not Based Entirely on Julie’s Life,” the second episode of the second season of “NewsRadio,” in which he played a Photoshop employee.
From 1996 to 2003, he lived in New York City where he worked as an actor on “Saturday Night Live” and reprised the role in the 1998 movie “A Night at the Roxbury.”
In August 2009, he played himself in the Independent Film Channel (IFC) miniseries “Bollywood Hero,” and the following year, he had a supporting role in “The Middle.”
He appeared as the lead in the fake movie “The Wedding Bride” in an episode of “How I Met Your Mother,” and he later reappeared as the persona in “Wedding Bride 2.”
