Career

On September 1, 2007, DeMarco Murray played in his first college football game for the Oklahoma Sooners against the North Texas Mean Green, rushing for 87 yards and scoring five touchdowns to aid the squad in a victory. During this game, he made school history by being the first player to score four touchdowns in his debut.

He continued to play for the Oklahoma Sooners for the following three seasons, turning up outstanding performances each time. His tremendous accomplishments at college include holding multiple records, including the most all-time touchdowns (65) and all-purpose yards (6,718). He was chosen by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2011 NFL Draft.

With them, he consented to a four-year contract. In addition to being awarded NFL Rookie of the Month for November 2011 and setting a rookie running record for a game in franchise history against the St. Louis Rams, he had a terrific rookie campaign in 2011.
