Don Thompson began his professional life at McDonald’s. He eventually joined them in 1990 after working for a combat plane company. He built robotic food delivery systems. One day, he got a call from McDonald’s. They were searching for a similar engineer who could create robotic systems, control systems, and feedback loops.
