Career
Slater decided to pursue a wrestling career. He received wrestling instruction at the World Wrestling Alliances, and he later participated in WWA4 competitions. He was given developmental territory and Deep South Wrestling when he signed his first deal with World Wrestling Entertainment in 2006. He was included on a list of 20 wrestlers from Florida Championship Wrestling who were selected for further training the next year, as well as in DSW.
After that, he started managing emerging talent and has no other method to manage or make an appearance in wrestling. He participated in the tag team tournament in 2008 with Steve Lewington, but they were defeated in their opening match by John Morrison and The Miz.
