Jaime Munguia started his professional career in 2013. Prior to facing Sadam All on May 12, 2018, for the WBO junior middleweight title, he was 28-0. The victory brought him his second professional title after the WBC Latino light middleweight crown.
On July 21, 2018, he defeated former light-middleweight champion Liam Smith by a majority decision to make his first defense of the WBO junior middleweight title.
