Career
The Bang Chamber 8 Depeche Mode tribute group included Pop and Mike Bowe. The true names of two of them were used. Later, Mike started going by the name Daddy Long Legs. While the latter sang and played bass, the former played guitar. Four original songs by Bang Chamber 8 were put on a cassette that was released in 1990: “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “Ice Cubes,” “Birthday Boyt,” and “War Crimes.” Surprisingly, neither the lyrical content nor the musical style of these songs had anything in common with the Bloodhound Gang. For instance, in “War Crimes” the author participated in Operation Desert Storm. Pop finished with a guitar solo. Pop sang the main vocals as well.
Bang Chamber 8’s separation took place in 1991. The Bloodhound Gang, a hip-hop outfit that ultimately transformed into an alternative rock band, was founded the following year by Pop and Daddy. Daddy Long Legs founded Wolfpac after leaving the Bloodhound Gang in 1997.
