In 1967, Linda Lavin made her acting debut as Gloria Thorpe in Phil Silvers’ television production of the musical Damn Yankees. She played recurring appearances in television sitcoms such as The Nurses, Rhoda, Harry O., and Kaz, among others, later in her career.
Lavin became well-known after appearing in Alice on the CBS network. She participated in all nine seasons of the program and received two Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy nominations.
