Career

To play for the Houston SaberCats in Major League Rugby’s inaugural season in 2018, Mullen signed a contract. On May 19, 2018, Mullen made his SaberCats debut, starting at tighthead prop in a 24-20 loss to the New Orleans Gold.

In August 2018, Mullen committed to a four-month contract with the Newcastle Falcons of the English Premiership Rugby.

After a brief stay in England, Mullen agreed to a one-year contract with the Houston Sabercats.

After the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan, Mullen signed on with the San Diego Legion for the 2020 campaign.

In the 2011 IRB Junior World Rugby Trophy, Mullen made his American debut for the Junior All-Americans, the men’s national under-20 team of the United States, and scored an important try against Zimbabwe.
