Throughout his youth, he was a shortstop for his travel baseball team. He decided to become an actress at the age of 10. To help him achieve his goal, his mother, Liz, transported him between Las Vegas and Los Angeles for his auditions. He soon entered a nearby acting contest and was later signed by a talent agency.
