When Rob Mariano joined Survivor at the age of 25, he started his career. At the time, he was a foreman in the building industry. He first faced off against Hunter Ellis in a Marquesas race held for the Maraamu tribe. He then participated in Survivor: All-Stars, where he was given the Chapera tribe, as a contestant.
