Career
There were rumors that Seth Welch and his wife ran their farm north of Grand Rapids at the time of their arrest. Blackacre Farm Products, a company that sells fresh produce, was once owned by Seth. He used to supply other parts of the neighborhood with just-picked produce from his farm.
Crime
Seth Welch called 911 when his daughter passed away, and the call’s audio was played in court in front of the judge.
When he and his wife put their daughter to bed at around 3:30 p.m., he said in the chat that she was dead when they checked on her the following morning at around 10 a.m. A police officer questioned Seth about whether he thought keeping his kids in bed for 3 to 10 hours was reasonable during the call.
Seth and his wife were then detained on suspicion of murder and child abuse. Seth, on the other hand, had his final hearing in January 2020 and was then given a prison sentence. Tatiana Fusari, his wife, was on trial for a long time due to the Pandemic, though. The Pandemic caused the trial to be suspended. Tatiana Fusari was ultimately found guilty of killing her daughter Mary Welch in November 2021. Mary testified throughout her trial that her husband had tortured and assaulted her, preventing her from caring for their young daughter Mary.

When Seth Welch and Tatiana Elena Fusari were charged with the murder of their 10-month-old baby, they had been married for six to eight years. Mary Welch was one of their three children, and they were all residing with them on a farm that had cultic overtones in Solon Township, Michigan. They used to adorn the fences around their property with verses from the Holy Bible. Posters were hung outside their home with several hand-painted Bible verses. Their world, however, was flipped upside down on August 2, 2018, when Mary passed away from starvation. The infant was only 8 pounds. When she was born, she weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces.
The parents admitted to the authorities that they had refused to seek medical attention for their starving daughter due to religious beliefs when they were accused of murder.
They both presented themselves as traditional Christian families. They both admitted that they delayed getting medical help out of concern that Child Protective Services may take their kids away. They also choose not to seek medical attention for religious as well as confidence and trust issues with medical professionals and services. Seth posted a statement on Mary Welch’s demise on Facebook after his daughter passed away.
