The explanation behind Sarah Ziolkowska and Nathan Fielder’s separation
A comedian named Nathan Fielder created the documentary reality series Nathan For You, in which he based the self-titled character on his teenage self. Fielder has acknowledged embellishing elements of his persona for comedic effect. He has added that the role is still fundamentally him, but that the shortcomings and concerns of his younger self are highlighted more. And even though Fielder has no problem portraying pieces of himself through his characters, the comic has rarely discussed his personal life in public.
Nathan Fielder’s ex-wife and him
Since Fielder rarely discusses his personal life, little is known about him outside of his professional job. The comedian’s first spouse was Sarah Ziolkowska. Long before he became famous, he and his ex-wife were friends in Canada when they were young. She worked as a librarian for kids. He may have wed his ex-wife at some point, but they separated in 2014. The two reportedly divorced on April 16, 2015, in Los Angeles, California’s Stanley Mosk Courthouse.
Fielder originally disclosed to the A.V. Club in 2015 that he had divorced his ex-wife. There, he claimed that while he did not love watching himself, others did. Additionally, he claimed that discussing his divorce was difficult because it was “shocking.” Fielder described their split as “amicable,” but added that it was nonetheless a trying emotional affair.
It was one of the heaviest objects, despite the fact that it was really pleasant. I was at a loss for words, he admitted. “But I’m in a good place, and I think that’s similar to how you’re seeing it—not that it’s the same as cancer, but you know,” she continued. [Pause.] There is no doubt that divorce is worse than illness. Sorry, I’m only kidding!
It is unknown what led to Fielder’s divorce from his ex-wife.
Romance for Nathan Fielder on-screen
Since telling A.V. Club about his divorce, Fielder has kept his personal life a secret. Since then, the only time we’ve seen him involved in a romantic partnership was with a woman named Maci at the climax of Nathan For You. In the two-hour special episode, Fielder sets out on a quest to help Bill Heath, a Bill Gates impersonator, locate Frances, his long-lost childhood love.
While doing so, Fielder comes across Maci, a hired escort. In the following order, the two go on numerous dates. At various points, Fielder narrates, detailing the development of their relationship and his opinions on it. In one instance, he talks about how difficult it is to tell the difference between the program and real life.
