Thomas Lam moved to AZ Alkmaar in 2005, where he started his youth career. He started his senior career with AZ Alkmaar in 2011. Later, he completed the academy and signed his first employment agreement there. For the upcoming campaign, Lam also acquired the shirt with the number 28.
